HORSE SHOWS

The sponsorship of horse shows are a major activity of the Morgan Horse Club Of Washington State, Inc. We have been involved in the sponsorship of horse shows since our early beginnings in the 1960s and our involvement continues unbending to the present. Through the shows, by which we dedicate a portion of the proceeds received to benefit Northwest non-profit 501-(C)-(3) charities, we are proud to have given back to the community up to $150,000.00 for continuance of their programs.

Yearly, the Morgan Horse Club Of Washington State, Inc. sponsors two horse shows. They are:

KEY CLASSIC BENEFIT MORGAN HORSE SHOW

This all-Morgan show attracts horses from throughout the Pacific Northwest and Canada. The Key Classic selected Equest Special Riders, Inc. of Puyallup, Washington as their charity to support. Equest provides a therapeutic-recreational horseback riding program for individuals who are challenged by birth defects, illness or trauma. Traditionally the Key Classic holds its 4-day show in May over the Mother's Day Weekend at the Evergreen Equestrian Park in Monroe, Washington. The May, 2000 show enjoyed their largest participation by eventing 246 horses, and being host to the many riders, families, and friends of the Morgan horse.

C-FAIR CHARITY HORSE SHOW

This 5-day horse show has become known as one of the best multi-breed horse shows in the Pacific Northwest featuring Morgans, American Saddlebreds, Friesians, Hackney Horses, and offering a variety of multi-breed classes appealing to the young as well as the experienced rider. The goal of this show is to highlight our breeds in the Northwest in a competitive environment that is enjoyable and fun for the exhibitors, and exciting for the spectators. Since 1986, the show has benefited Children's Hospital and Regional Medical Center in Seattle through its association with the Susan Campbell Woodin Guild. Children's Hospital and Regional Medical Center is a private, non-profit pediatric hospital serving children from birth to age 21 in Washington, Alaska, Montana, and Idaho. Over the years, C-Fair has been proud to present proceeds totaling over $150,000 to the Guild for the Children's uncompensated care fund, which assures quality medical care for all children regardless of their families' resources

C-Fair is held in early August at the Evergreen Equestrian Park in Monroe, Washington.
