TREE FARMTree Farm members on the trail

Welcome to the Morgan Horse Club of Washington State Tree Farm Association web page.  I am Tami Goff, the Manager of the MHCWS Tree Farm Association.  The purpose of this web page is to inform you the “what happenings” and “goings on” of the Association.  This site will also list information about trails, trail clearing parties, and just plain having fun!

We (MHCWS) have leased a piece of property on the Pilchuck Tree Farm that has a small cabin for our members to camp, or just relax.  We also have 3 small corrals to keep horses in and 12 tie stalls for day trips.  All this is located about 40 miles North of Seattle in Snohomish County just out of the small town of Arlington.  Membership is open to all breeds of horses, ponies and enthusiastic trail riders!

The trails and logging roads of the tree farm are (in my opinion) the best place to ride, as there are a variety of trails ranging from one hour to all day if you choose.  There are trails that have the most beautiful and colorful flowers you will ever see.  But please remember, a lot of colorful flowers are poisonous to your horse.  You will only hear the sounds of nature at it’s best!  Just you and your horse; what could be better?  The trails also provide a variety of difficulty for either a young or older horse and rider as well as some that even the seasoned conditioned horse and rider can benefit from.

As you see in these pictures, we have a couple of work parties every year, and boy do we have fun!  I try to schedule at least two, and if we can squeeze in a third, I like to do that just before winter, so our spring riding can start with clean trails.  This will also keep the trails from overgrowing and eventually losing them.

After the work is done, we meet at a local restaurant for some real relaxation.

Just think, all this for a low yearly fee.  Please see the application for details, or feel free to contact me with any questions.

 Happy Trails to All!!

Tami Goff
